The USS Allegheny is the second starship to bear the name, and is the prototype of her class. Launched in January of 2386, she is the largest and most advanced starship in the fleet, equipped with experimental new warp engines, experimental Graviton Torpedos, and special compression phaser arrays. The Allegheny is currently under the command of Admiral Victor Clark, former commanding officer of the ship's Galaxy-class namesake.
