Starship Farragut: The Comic book

While we are waiting for the next installment of the animated adventures of the Starship Farragut and her crew, thought you might enjoy reading the startrekanimated.com comic book "Dearly Departed".

I really enjoyed reading this and was left wanting more! Who are these aliens? Where did they come from?

I'm glad you enjoyed it. We purposely left unanswered questions. I like leaving things open for the reader to fill in with their own imaginations.

Hey! I've just found the Farragut episodes--which I can't watch on the computer at our circulation desk--but I can read comics.

I really enjoyed the Farragut comic (I'm becoming a big fan of that crew) and also the couple of TAS comics I found after that.

I have been desperately needing a Trek fix that didn't frustrate, annoy, or otherwise upset me and these are filling that need quite nicely. I thank you profusely.

I've bookmarked the site and plan to work my way through the entire collection, so, y'know, that's a little bit of feedback, right?

First, thanks for the constructive comments. As for the artwork, I've never claimed to be much of an artist, that's why I work in the TAS style. I'm always open if anybody wants to help with the artwork, doing more free style type stuff. I'm a little frustrated with my limitations too. I hate reusing the same shots over and over again, but I really don't have a chouce.

Maybe you are a bit harsh on yourself? You do a good re-creation of the TAS art-style and have adapted it well to a new set of characters. Continual practice and stretching yourself will pay off - even if it feels like it is taking ages to get anywhere.

As to the comic: I enjoyed the story - as others have observed it is very TOS-like. I also liked the JKF - nice to see a TAS style Kelvin design.
I did think Prescott was a little insubordinate, though... :)

Thanks for sharing it!
