All of us at Excelsior Productions wish you a happy and properous New Year.

Mike, how did you manage to get my email about the domain change, read it, and post on the BBS in the time it took me to send the same email to the rest of the cast? You're good. You're very good.

Anyhow, everything else Mike said is true. Be there January 6 for the release of "Turns of Events!"

In other news, we're finally going to fix that darned Sovereign-class ship in our top banner to have the correct registry number.

I downloaded this but I can only hear sound.I cannot get the video to work.Could you please fix the pictures as I have tried media player and vlc player and a few others but none of them show pictures.

Why are you not using standard video?

Well it is an audio drama...

Yes I understand the drama is on audio but where are the pictures to accompany the audio. You should have tested it before releasing it.I have tried everything and it still does not work.

Just to be ultra clear, this is an audio only production, there is no video to accompany it at all. Sound only.

The name "audio drama" is usually used to refer to productions of this type as opposed to film, video, fan film etc.

Some audio dramas include a single image that is displayed when played on something like an ipod, I don't know if this has one, I don't think so.

It's called "theater of the mind." The mental pictures your mind can paint are far more vivid than any pictures we could add. There's an old story from the early days of television where a father asked a little boy whether he liked radio or television better. The boy answered "Radio, because the pictures are better."

Do you not understand what "audio" means?

Do you complain that there are no pictures on the RADIO?

It is rather burdensome. How are we supposed to see what is happening?

I prefer tv to this.

Could you make the next with pictures please.

No, I don't think that's in the cards. We're all doing this in our "spare" time on a volunteer basis. Believe me, it's quite difficult enough without trying to incorporate pictures. We're struggling as it is to meet our goal of one production a month. The talented folks behind Exeter have been working on just one show for years and it still isn't done. That's how much more complex a video based production can be. Of course, we're not even raising the issue of production costs *shudder*.

A lot of people like to listen to audio dramas in a darkened room where their imagination can create the pictures for them. Keep in mind that many people like to listen to these kind of shows on their iPod and even expensive ones that have pictures have a very small screen.

Everyone involved with this, or any creative project, knows that we're not going to entertain everybody and we thank you for at least taking the time to listen to our show.

Personally, I love MP3 adventures and books on tape. Makes driving a lot more pleasant.
