They probably held those pics back to use them later to hype up the season premiere. Because at least the EPS Network pic shows almost definitely the Stargazer. Same windows along the saucer's edge, same phaser banks, same bridge area shaping including window front. The only difference seems to be the placement of transport arrays or something-or-the-other, the two dark orange squares, which on your pic are aligned with the windows on the edge, while on the model they're btw the bridge and the phaser strips.
Top 2 are Stargazzer, 100% on the first image, about 90% sure 2nd, the 3rd is shaped like a Luna class abit, so it "May" be the Titan.
Both the USS Luna and the USS Trumbull have been mentioned as ships we might possibly see in season 3.
Luna? Ehh, as far as novel-born designs are concerned, I've always liked the Vesta class more and I'd rather they canonise that sleek beauty instead of featuring the Luna some more. Already seen enough of that one, grumble grumble... Lol, darn Trekkies, never content! But Trumbull? Never heard of that one, googling doesn't help either...?
They can't canonize the Vesta class without the permission of its designer, as CBS/Paramount doesn't own the design.
It's a new ship for the show named after Douglas Trumbull who died in February. Though we don't know if the ship will actually show up, or just appear as text on a computer screen. Same with the USS Luna. https://twitter.com/TerryMatalas/status/1491453168664084488
I can't imagine the creator missing such an opportunity for recognition if approached by Paramount, regardless of the compensation. Although, it might be better to save that design for later when it could be used with greater impact, instead of letting it disappear in Enterprise F's shadow. Ah, thanks.
Well, they technically have access to all the STO designs already, so you're probably right. But IF Ezri Dax should return one day, wouldn't it be awesome if they made it happen? I never got into the relaunch novels myself, but a bunch of fans would feel great joy... and gratitude*! *Sorry.
Didn’t they put Ezri in command of the “Emmitt Till” during the DS9 anniversary doc when they were breaking down a potential S8. I think they even had a drawing of it and Eaglemoss was gonna make it. Id say that’s closer to “canon” than STO.
Yes, that’s what I was remembering. I think they used the top silhouette of that design for Rios’s former ship the ibn Majid.
Ezri never appears in the game, she's only mentioned by Bashir, but she is captain of the Aventine like in the novels.
I'm in the "Aventine Fan" camp. And its just like the Luna class which we have seen as cannon, as a CBS book ship, so I don't think they need the permission of Mark Rademaker, and if asked I'd say 100% he'd say yes.
They would need to pay him as he owns the rights to the design, Cryptic and CBS had to do the same thing when the ship was brought to STO. According to the EP of Cryptic at the time, it was a pain in the ass to negotiate the rights. I'm sure Eaglemoss had to do the same. The Luna Class is owned by CBS completely, it was a stipulation for the design the Titan contest, the winning design rights would go the CBS. I can't remember if the Vesta was a design commissioned for the books, or if Mark designed it and Pocketbook/CBS liked it so much they paid for it for the novel covers.
Robert Meyer Burnett mentioned it on one of his live streams according to Beyerstein. https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/season-3-wild-speculation.311374/page-13#post-14224130
