Welcome to the Community Starship Design Contest.

This is a monthly contest

Contest Theme and Rules:
The Federation needs a new Fighter Craft to replace the Peregrine Attack Fighter . The Admirals want you, the Fleetyard Engineers to take on the task.

Redhawk Class Attack Fighter
Crew: 2
Weapons: 3 Fore, 1 Aft
Bridge Officer Stations: 1 Ensign Universal
Console Upgrades: 3 Tactical, 1 Engineering
Special Tactical Console: Open

====Rules====

Art must be your own work
All designs can be 3D models or 2D renders
No age limit or minimum
Open to all nations

====Submissions====

Artists must send in a minimum of 3 sketches accompanied by no more than 3 final renders

Community judging ends August 6, 2012 @ 23:59pm - PST (-8GMT)

It's not what I'm doing, it's what you are doing. Basically you're posting them in the monthly design thread and then at the end of the month the community votes on them. The highest rated design gets the prize.

I think he means if something will actually be done with the designs.

Too put it in non-STO terms, 2000 cryptic points = about $20 real world currency. Cryptic points are the ingame to real world hybrid currency that allow you to by extra fancy crap for your game, like new Spaceships and stuff. If you play STO, its a real handy prize. If not, STO is free to play, and if you fancied killing some time you could start up with some fancy new ships you wouldnt otherwise get. Assuming OP delivers and the prize is genuine, its worth something. Although I think it goes against some of the rules of the forum - I suggest contacting Ptrope to see if its OK by him.

EDIT - Oh, the contest is on another forum. Something tells me thats against the rules here too.
