Stargate SG-2: The Ninth Symbol fanfilm now ONLINE!

Clever idea, ambitious execution. A good first outing for a fan film group.

Here is my short review, with some constructive criticism (no significant spoilers):

The dialogue could have used some additional editing... unless it was the actors going off-script. Whatever the reason, there were quite a few grammatical atrocities that detracted from enjoyment :| This is an easy thing to fix in future episodes just by passing the script through more hands before filming :)

Also, the director should coach the actors to improve their pacing a little bit. Most of what makes the Stargate series work so well is the chemistry, the way the actors bounce their performances off of eachother. I think you picked up on that eventually though, since this particular aspect of your film seemed to improve a lot in the second half.

I enjoyed your guns. And your excellent decision to use a mine as a shooting location.

I also liked the creative solution to the use of the helicopter. I thought your explosions worked very well. Obviously special effects aren't an issue for you. In some of your shots, I couldn't even tell if it was CGI or real pyro going off. Good stuff B)

A lot of the actors did seem like they were struggling to remember their lines. But overall, very fun to watch. I would definitely watch future episodes from this fan group if they are produced.

We're working on getting an additional mirror up and running.

BoyliciousDarian, thank you for your review. We appreciate community feedback.

Welcome aboard nfsbuff! I hope you enjoy your time here. Let me know when you have a reliable download up and running because I'd like to check this out.

I'm not able to reproduce the timeout errors. But just to be safe, we have a mirror up and running. However, the download now up was our "soft launch", intended to get a preview of the community reaction. The official launch will occur through the FXhome.com cinema, three days after the teaser goes live. You can view the teaser here, SG-2 Teaser.

We're doing our best to make sure the three days specified in the teaser will match up with the movie's arrival on fxhome. Stay tuned!

No, it is the exact same version, with this being the "official" release. Also, we've taken care of the bandwidth issues.
