What we really need is a pair of security guys portrayed as Ray Vecchio and Benton Fraser. Tell me I'm wrong.

The thing is, SCE-era Gomez and Duffy should be about a decade older than they are in those photos. It would be better if you could find images of Lycia Naff and Charley Lang c. the year 2000.

Well, just Googled, Binged and Yahooed my way through as many images as possible and sadly there are no decent sized images circa 2000 of Lycia or Charley so I guess I can't update. (Unless anybody has a spare they can PM/e-mail?)

I seem to remember some DS9 fanfiction back in the day that had two security types based on those two. Might also have been a crossover too, but it's been years since I've read it.

You know, I thought this when I first saw the images, myself - but then I remembered that they live in the 24th century Federation, and that matters. Jean-Luc Picard, for example, was 59 when ST:TNG started - but Patrick Stewart was only 47. Their medical technology means that people will live longer, and live younger for a longer part of that. After that, the pics from earlier in the thread seem about right.

Still, I've seen Lycia Naff in one or two more recent roles, and she looks different, more mature, and certainly not in a bad way. It's a fitting look for Commander Sonya Gomez, first officer of the USS da Vinci and head of a top SCE team.
