Star Wars Eclipse - action-adventure game in development by Quantic Dream

Set in the High Republic era, Star Wars Eclipse will be "an intricately branching action-adventure game that can be experienced in many ways, and puts the destinies of multiple playable characters in your hands". A release date has yet to be announced.

I have played heavy rain and Detroit bevond human. The gameplay in the games are terrible but the storys were good

Loved Detroit, and this looks gorgeous. Fingers crossed.

 

I had no idea this was going to be a thing until I saw the teaser trailer last night. It looked frigging bad ass.

 

It's great looking, but the only Quantic Dreams game I've played was Heavy Rain, and I didn't make it very far since I had trouble seeing the options that popped up on the TV I had at the time, so I'm not sure what to make of them doing this.

The company itself has been under fire over bad working conditions and sexual harassment.

I'm honestly surprised LucasArts is working with them.

 

Yeah, I've read some stuff about a toxic culture at Quantic Dream. Their last game, Detroit: Become Human got some criticism for the female android storyline, where she's treated as a battered-wife analogy and is also a victim of torture. I seem to recall it left a bad taste in some reviewers' mouths.

 

I can't believe they gave David Cage a Star Wars game, as if Star Wars couldn't get any worse, they find a way.

 

Well, SW as a narrative game kind of makes sense, but it will all be in the way it's approached.

Interesting though how a Trek game, a SW game, and an Expanse game have all been announced, and they're all narrative games of possible similar style.
