Star Trek Writers Seem to be Everywhere these days

I'm sure I'm not the first to notice but it seems nearly every show on TV these days has at least one writer who has written for Star Trek. Now I wasn't surprised that BSG had a few Star Trek writers but I was surprised that Heroes, 24, and CSI have gotten Trek writers on their teams. To meet it seems like writing for Star Trek helped launch careers (I was even surprised Bryan Fuller, creator of Pushing Daisies, also wrote for DS9 and Voyager).

This is not surprising. While Voyager was not as well recieved as TNG or DS9 and ENT was seen as some what of a flub up at times, I would imagine many of the writers/directors would easily find work in other creative worlds.

One of my favorites was Rob Bowman who directed several TNG episodes and moved on to be one of the creative forces behind the X-Files.
