I immediately thought of the TOS specials from the Sci-Fi Channel from the late 90s, which were hosted first by Shatner and then Nimoy.

I enjoyed those.

Nice to see Conspiracy and Q Who getting some attention.

I'm guessing SyFy doesn't have the rights to TOS and that's why no TOS episodes are in the marathon?

I thought "Conspiracy" was banned in the UK... Or maybe that was just the BBC and syfy is immune? Or maybe that was twenty-seven years ago and now they've lightened up about exploding men with gross super worms inside of them...

I'm not sure that "banned" is the right word. I'm sure I've seen it broadcast before now, just maybe heavily edited.

I TIVO'd most of these, but it seems a shame that no TOS or ENT episodes were included in the rundown. I suppose SyFy don't currently hold broadcast rights for these shows.

Was Sacrifice of Angels on as well? It seems strange "Favor the Bold" would be and it wouldn't.

Nope, it was just that one. Odd. Also I wasn't watching on Saturday but I'm wondering if maybe they only showed 1 episode from one of those two-parters. Otherwise they showed 11 episodes on Saturday but only 10 on Sunday and Monday, which doesn't sound likely.

I didn't see Conspiracy but pretty sure it would have been edited to hell (found a mention on another site that it cuts to the Enterprise the moment Picard and Riker fire on Remmick). SyFy have made pretty severe cuts to a lot of the Trek shows, more than any other UK broadcaster. Seasons 1-3 of DS9 were heavily affected, but there were random cuts to later episodes too (Kira beating up Damar in Favor the Bold was reduced significantly). Shots of blades seemed to be a particular no-no, as well as anything else even remotely imitable;

Cos if they didn't cut Dennis Madalone smashing his head against a wall there's no telling how many children will put themselves in hospital. :rolleyes:

Yesterday's Enterprise removes the death of Captain Garrett entirely, and later when Riker dies they photoshopped his eyes closed. I'll see if I can track down a picture, but it looks very very silly. :rofl:
