Star Trek: Voyager's Opening Sequence Remastered

That was insanely good!

The one detail this version missed was the subtle reflection of Voyager in the planetary ring as it flies over around 1:14.

Perhaps not the best classic series, but undeniably the best classic opening sequence and intro theme. And this is an awesome remake.

Unless they left it off on purpose. It was always a nice little detail to notice but scale-wise made zero sense.

Bring back tiny planet!

I'm joking. I just love the tiny planet.

Great video!

There's a lot of people commending removing it in the YouTube comments.

Although that would imply this is a recreation not a remastering. Which would make sense.

IRML says as much in the video description, a totally from-scratch fan project.

You can still tell the planet is tiny from the perspective as the camera moves.

One detail I hadn't remembered from when I saw it before is in the last show, where you can see the corona of the star while it's in eclipse. I've been thinking that should be visible in sci-fi shots like that, but I guess to do it right, you'd need to play with camera exposure a lot as part of your style.

Here's an older one from someone else.

Oh, I thought the first video was this one. I assumed I was looking at something I'd seen before.

I think the first one is overall better, despite the second one having some effects that it's missing, but I'm just happy that they both have a Voyager model which has the lines on the back of the saucer section right.
