A really nice video about how the shock wave at the beginning of VI was created. It's like the genesis (pun intended) of modern VFX. It was always great going to see a Trek Movie back in the day - because you knew there would be a stand out VFX sequence. Of course nowadays, there's so much VFX that suff like Guardians of the Galaxy is practically one giant VFX reel - and the movies are essentially animated features.
