Star Trek VI disc art?

Profhig

I was examining my DVD collection today and was looking in awe at my complete Star Trek special edition discs in my carrying case and found something very odd. The second disc of Star Trek VI has a picture of the Excelsior in space dock, I then realized it's the Enterprise B. And to top it all off, it's upside down! Is this just my copy or are they all so oddly done up? :wtf:

I just looked in mine, and both discs are grey. In fact, the only discs in my collection that has any disc art is V.

I've seen a discussion on this before, they all are (or at least were). I guess it could have been corrected but mine is still the upside down Ent-B.

I assume that later editions we're all made grey. I wish all mine we're grey, it would look more uniform. Except TMP, i love the yellow!!

The Region 4 two-disk sets have yellow disks for TMP, white for ST II and the other four (and four TNG era) have official movie poster artwork, inset into a delta shield, with silver background.

Movie disc art is quite frequently wildly inaccurate - the Nemesis region two disc has Picard in his TV era collared red shirt.

^The region one disc has something funky like that too, but I think it has the FC uniforms as well to show the change.

Yeah, mine has the upside down Enterprise B, as well.

Not only that, my Star Trek III came with a Star Trek II insert.

There's tons of mistakes on the movies DVD releases, Paramount was really lax in terms of the quality of them. Why bother, we're all gonna' buy them anyway.
