Star Trek V props

Last week I was visiting the Beverly and Jim Rogers Museum of Lone Pine, near Owens Lake (on highway 395) CA, and while the museum mostly focuses on westerns (as tons of them were filmed in the area: notably in the nearby Alabama Hills) there is a section in the back with props from sci-fi and superhero films, including a bunch of things from the Tremors films and TV show, Iron Man (ammo boxes, etc.), and a few props from Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, including one of the Nimbus 3 rifles carried by Sybok's followers.

Here's a Flickr Set with photos of the gun, plus a few other odds and ends.

Here's me with the gun (someone at the museum was nice enough to pull it out of the case so I could document it).

Oh, and here's the piece of the neon Cat Lady sign that falls on the ground during the Paradise City raid.

Great shots. How wild that you found this out there in such a random place... even more wild that Paramount left anything lying around.

Did you go out to the lake bed and cry out "We have traveled far!!!"?

Nah, I didn't make it to Owens (Dry) Lake, but I did scout around the Alabama Hills for possible 2nd unit Polaris shooting.

Well, many museums and fan collectors had their best chance buying from the official Christies, Profiles in History and It's A Wrap! auctions that sold about 100 items per week for over two years. I could open my own museum of Star Trek. :techman:
