The late Thomas Sasser did a good bit of the work got them and the Round2 1/1000 TOS Enterprise…thus all the re-paint repops.

He did great work on those replicas!
Funny story: He would create masters and send them out for approvals and prototyping. One issue which kept popping up was people over there not understanding the material. They kept changing the size and spacing of the beige escape pod hatches thinking they were cool strobe stripe decorations ...

It would have been interesting what they might have offered. I keep hoping to see the rejected more trek-like designs for the Protector from Galaxy Quest
