It looks like someone took the head off an antique porcelain doll from the 1920's and popped it on top of a Kirk body. Totally wrong skin tone and everything. How could they have gotten the production model SO insanely wrong compared to the prototype, which looks pretty darn good?

The paint job does more injustice than the head shape. Just moving the eye brows down to their correct position and do the eyes better solves a lot of the horrible appearance. Maybe.
