ive just created a new fleet, TrekBBS.com. It's a restricted fleet, so post in here so I know it's BBS folks only.

I was annoyed at this weekends event, where the squadron leader hadn't selected a character. Unfortunately the game is a bit crap where you can't post that you're away etc for a time and can't do anything.

Anyone else playing Timelines? I paid for 2 monthly cards, and it's free to play from here on in. Been at it for around 3 months now.

What happened to the other thread on this? I'm in one of the fleets, but fleets don't seem to do anything in the game, so not sure of the point.

Not sure why i still play, really? fairly mindless farming really, and too obvious of a pay wall. Ive got good characters, but maxed out my 35 a long time ago, so have to choose between dumping ones i've leveled or tossing out the 5 star new one I get and hoping i someday get a second star on that one. No way to get more without paying cash. Not really a good enough game to justify real money, the gameplay itself is sorta non-existant...

I agree - I'm going to disband teh fleet as there isn't any interest, in teh gopes of me joinign a squadron with a leader who has some good character points to share!

Just haven't even figured out what fleets or squadrons are supposed to DO in the game, which is part of the problem. Doesn't seem to matter, and no visible group goals, so not driving much conversation...

I just started playing this a couple days ago, it's pretty fun. Does anyone know how to change who the "battle station" crew members are? I've been looking everywhere but I can't find an option to remove the characters I set earlier, Enterprise-D Picard and Crusher.

Yes, you need to start a ship battle mission. You can change battlestations before entering the battle.

I tried to play it but I couldn't see where the fun was. It just pointed at things for me to click and I clicked them diligently and then... what? Do you get any control at any point?

No, it's farming with a Trek skin. Not really any 'game' components to it. And yet, I keep logging in...

Switched over the Trexels, which I'm enjoying a lot more. It's also got a lot of resource farming, but it's missions and stuff are more interactive and fun. It doesn't have the constant fanwank of Timelines, but they actually did a pretty good job of capturing the feel of TOS or TNG stories.
