Star Trek the Shoe, is this a sign that Trek is finally back?

Not quite down there with the Red Shirt men's perfume and the photon torpedo casket...

Those look great! Funny thing is I don't want the command color ones, but I do want the sciences and engineering (or whatever) colors.

They better be damn good running shoes, or whoever wears them will be getting some ass-kickings! I think it will be like beaming down in a red shirt with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy.

It is both fascinating and logical at the same time. I don't wear sneakers, but if I did, I would definitely want a pair.

I'm wondering how those stack up against other sneakers in terms of quality.

Did the fugly yellow color have anything to do with it?

Where do people come up with these bogus looking command colors??
If anyone was paying attention to the movie, the command shirts looked their "correct' color at times, depending on the lighting. At no time did they look sunshine yellow.

I noticed the "GOLD" shoes were online only. That was a wise decision. It prevents a lot of Payless Shoe clerks from getting them shoved up their asses by green obsessed whack jobs.

Loose the geeky-looking plastic arrowhead on the laces and they don't look too bad. I'd have a nice blue pair - the other colours are just too frikkin' out there...

I love those! :D

I go to high school; believe me, the yellow is pretty mundane compared to the colours of shoes some people my age wear.
I suppose I may be in the minority, but I think the yellow may be my favourite. I wouldn't pay 50 dollars for Airwalks, though. I'd wait till they're on sale.

The shoes are actually not running shoes, but "skate shoes" for skateboarders. They have high tops, and shallow treads designed to grip skate boards, and supposedly have more side strength to withstand the stresses of skateboarding.

I just wore a pair for most of the day, much of it on my feet, and they were as comfortable as most running shoes. Not quite as contoured to my foot as well fit more expensive running shoes, but adequate for the purpose.

The red matches the red of the Voyager/First Contact era uniforms well.

I am a bit annoyed I cannot get the blue ones in my size, or I would have another pair.

But then, it don't take much to make me happy.

I think it's more of a sign that people are willing to put the Trek name on anything*.

*except condoms

Wow! After seeing the title to the post I was ready to see some cheesy looking glossy plastic sneakers. After following the link, I forwarded it to my wife in hopes of getting them for X-mas!

Gonna have to pick up a blue pair! I love the fact that they're skater shoes (running shoes are too narrow for me).
