I'm not usually a fan of ship-only covers (a lot of the Voyager ones are pretty dull, in my opinion), but that is a very arresting image.

Nice cover art .This is certainly a different cover than the usual Starship in space art covers we usually see for the Star trek book series. I like the action oriented cover art like this .Re: Cover for Takedown just released
thanks for posting the link this novel sounds like it's going to be a really intriguing character piece with Picard and Riker . I like this Kind of storytelling like the hunt for the Red October in this upcoming novel. Picard Versus Riker this certainly sounds like a good book.Nice to see Ezri is going to appear too.

Out of everything not by KMFB, this is the book I'm currently most excited for. JJM has written some goddamn killer Star Wars stories, and this idea for a plot sounds absolutely badass. Picard-the-rapid-problem-solver might be my favorite flavor of Picard; he doesn't come out to play often, but he's fun as hell. I'm so in.
And man: way to rock the covers lately, Pocket. Light Fantastic, Seekers, Acts of Contrition, Section 31... some all-time Star Trek cover art highlights lately. This one is awesome too.

I'm not too worried about putting absolutely everything in a single thread, conversations seem to be rejuvenated by a new thread. And it's not like we're swamped in threads about Aventine.

What is Aventine destroying with that phaser beam? A shuttle?

Really awesome cover.
Are you sure that's not the Enterprise? The Enterprise is also mentioned in the blurb, but from looking at the ship's dorsal (and the streakiness), its hard to tell which ship that is.
