I now have it in my hands :p

I haven't read a single page yet, I just snapped a couple of pics for you. (The quality is a bit crappy though)

Damn nice. People finally get to see the updated Klingon ship.

Is that one page of Enterprise designs all we get? I'm still digging that front view.

And some pictures. There's some very nice stuff on the book.

Excuse the quality, my scanner is offline so I used the camera on my cellphone.
But the flash added some nice lens flares on some occasions :p

In the first post, on the Klingon page, is it just me, or on the left page that's cut off is that John Eaves design for a TNG retro Bird of Prey?

Always nice to see people using Eaves ENT cruiser design.
No bird of prey designs in there by any chance, are there?
Maybe some shuttle shots?

Salvor, quick review please.... is it any good overall? Good quality? Interesting content/text? Worth the money?

I'm a little surprised to see an 'Art of' book that's in portrait, rather than landscape/widescreen, but oh well.

Hope it's a good read.

The paper, the colors, the design, the book overall is of excellent quality. I'm very pleased.

There are many and very interesting pictures that show what they had in mind, how it translated from just a drawing to reality, what kinds of things they rejected, the evolution some sets, costumes, props, make up etc had...

I must admit I didn't sit down yet to really read the book. So I can't say with any certainty how interesting and helpful the text is. That will happen probably during the weekend.

But based on what I've seen so far and with the price being what it is, I'd recommend it to anyone who liked the movie and is interested in "Art of" books.

This, in combination with all the extras I've seen on the blu-ray will really show you all you wanted to know.

Kinda wish they referenced the original show a bit more. Especially in the early stages.

It's sort of a good thing that early on they did wild ideas, that way as it developed, they could only go more like TOS.

@SalvorHardin, what happened to that ship scale image?
