STAR TREK teaser completed

I'm not going to see Cloverfield because, chiefly, I have no desire to see a big squid terrorize New York via shakycam. Why is it when this technique is utilized in film it turns out to be several degrees MORE shaky than a normal person who operates a video camera?

I don't like the stupid viral shit either, but I hate the shaky shit more. And I don't like monster movies to begin with.

What makes you believe you'll get to see the 'monster' in cloverfield?

Good question. Let's find out. Please don't vote unless this applies specifically to you.

Well, that depends.

How many degrees are we talking here? Up to and including 45?

Oh, very funny poll.

You know what I mean. Shaky-cam is deliberately exaggerated in film. And after the last 2 Bourne movies, personally I've had my fill of it. It's stupid. And Cloverfield will be ENTIRELY presented that way.... oi.

I haven't seen the movie yet, so I can't really speak to this issue.

Then again, neither have you. So I guess we'll call it a draw.

Ask Matt. He knows everything.

is this giant squid Cthulhu?

any which way, I will likely shell out the $$$ to see a 40-second ST trailer. sigh.

I know one thing for sure! It doesn't look like this!

I voted several degrees LESS shaky.

I'm pretty short, so my center of gravity is lower.

However, I could be wrong - the giant squid was occupying most of my attention at the time.
