I envy the people that did not notice the dummy. Because it was one of the most noticeable, cringey things I've seen on TV in a long time.

    Yep.

Now, I haven't seen a lot of SNW yet, but I've seen an awful lot of those other shows. Enough to know. ;)

I'm afraid it also stood out to me. Pretty minor thing though.

The dummies and stiff characters in other Trek series, however, are all too apparent. :p

I assumed they used a dummy, because how else? But it didn't jump out at me.

It so didn't jump out at me it must have been stashed behind a very large rock.

It's amazing what you can miss when you focus on something else That's how magicians fool the audience.

However, taking a point off the episode for such a small thing sounds a bit odd to me.

I didn't notice the dummy on the first watch. Not a big deal.

It's also the testament to an episode so fun and engaging in its story I just wasn't watching too closely for some of the technical stuff.

It wasn’t the only thing I took a point off for, and it was more the slomo than the dummy; it seemed self-indulgent and pointless. I did honestly cringe a little when I saw it. But that’s just my opinion.

I didn't notice the dummy, but I did wonder how they did that, and I thought maybe it was CGI.
As bad as you guys think the dummy was, it's still nowhere near as bad as when Buffy carried Dawn on BTVS. I can't remember which episode it was, and I tried searching for the clip and nothing came up, but trust me, it was really bad.

I took it as yet another one of the episode's big reveals:
    - Una is an augment
    - the doctor's daughter is in the transport buffer
    - Hemmer is inflatable (and deflatable)

    Still liked the episode.

There's some pretty egregious dummy work in the T. Baker run of Doctor Who I'm watching. Bodies in rubble type stuff.

    Hemmer's antennae are inflate/deflate valves!
