    Ah, thanks.
The Think Tank was confirmed as a Special over six months ago but not mentioned since.

WizKids made models of the Dreadnought and that Bajoran ship. I’d like to see HeroCollector’s take on them. Btw, the ancient Decipher CCG added a third nacelle to the Bajoran ship, called it the Ornathia-class and identified it as the Bajoran warships from TNG “Parallels”.

Out of all these, the Yridian would be my favorite. It looks very squidlike and is quite “not boxy” looking by TNG standards.

Just coming in with a quick post, cause I'm getting on a plane to see family in a few hours. I stopped by my local store to get myself something to open on xmas morning. It was the Krenim warship. Not one of the few I was pining for (that would be Kes' shuttle, which I bought on eBay and is on its way), but still looks pretty good.

The "tiger" orange is a neat look. One online reviewer compared it to something from "Babylon 5". I'm sure this one will do many battles with Voyager in the new year. :)

    Anyway, gotta go. Happy holidays!

My partner blew me away with getting the De Agostini Borg Cube for me, and the Gold plated E-D, I don't even want to know the amount he paid!

I got the second Delta Quadrant Shipyards book for Christmas and I have some criticisms..

    Negative:
    - Instead of the Ledosian Patrol Ship it shows the Akritirian Patrol Ship again
    - Instead of the Lokirrim Patrol Ship it shows the Lokirrim Warship again
    - Instead of the Nasari Patrol Ship it shows the Romulan science ship (the Nasari version should be tan instead of green)
    - No CG model was reconstructed for the Vidiian Ship - the unmodified Merchantman is shown instead
    - There's a white pixel border around some ships (Ramuran Tracer Ship, Mr. Tash's Ship, Think Tank Vessel)

    Positive:
    - Two pages were added for the Species 8472 bioship in attack mode.

Concerning book 1 or both books:
    - Instead of the Krenim Patrol Ship, one image in book 1 shows the Krenim Warship (but the orthos use the correct model)
    - For the Dinaali Hospital Ship, both the side view and the top view are included twice, while the bottom and rear view are not shown at all
    - The "orthos" of approximately 13 ships are not orthographic (it's particularly noticable with the Krenim Patrol ship whose "nose" seems huge in the front view)
    - Two pictures are pixelated (Hirogen Venatic class in book 1, first Qomar ship in book 2)
    - The pages for some ships - for example the Annari warship in book 1 or Onquaani's Ship in book 2 - manage to show everything you could ask for on a single page: A beauty shot and five orthographic views. Why do so many ships waste two whole pages on just a single (non-orthographic) picture?

An interesting bookend to my holiday vacation. As I mentioned above, I got a model, which I opened on xmas, just before flying out to see my family. (It was mostly an indoor affair, due to lockdowns, and me, and later some of my family, picking up what I hope is just a head cold, which I'm still fighting). But having returned home last night, I checked ebay to check the delivery status of the model I ordered before leaving and was surprised to see it showing as "delivered".

Since there was clearly nothing at my apartment door when I returned, I feared for a moment I might've been the victim of a porch pirate. (My next door neighbor has had packages unclaimed at their doorstep for hours or even days, so I make a point of knocking, whenever I pass them by). Fortunately, my mailbox included a key to one of those oversized mailbox lockers. Inside was issue #169: Kes' shuttle.

There's nothing really iconic or groundbreaking about the design, but I really liked the look of it and wanted one. It's interesting that the number and stats on the cover of the magazine are blue, typically reserved for Earth or Federation vessels, even though this is presumably an alien ship. Irishtrekkie astutely pointed out that it looks like a fighter from some 70's or 80's sci-fi, like the original Battlestar Galactica. I like the weathered look to it. Clearly the showrunners weren't terribly concerned with explaining how Kes acquired this ship. They just wrote something into the script and the FX team recycled a ship that had been used a few times (and would later be reused again), leaving the shuttle's back story a mystery.

The die cast gives it a tiny bit of heft, and it fits nicely on the stand. I'm happy with it.

I looked it up. The Snark is a commercial ship from an Alien comic? Seems rather obscure. I’d sooner see the USM Auriga, USCSS Covenant and AvP mothership made.

Are there any 3D printer friendly models files that I can download and then use my 3D printer to print the ship off from?

The Snark was a Ron Cobb concept design of what eventually became the Nostromo. I love this ship with the deployable long range antenna,

I hope the Prometheus sells well and we can have a Bonus issue for each vector section.

I'm calling it now, the magazine will once again give its length as 126 meters...

They should double down on it with some more comparison charts.

They got the Kelvin Vulcan fleet sizes all wrong too, even with comparison charts in the magazines which make it pretty clear they were of similar size to the Enterprise...
