Just starting my collection after learning about these late last year. What's everyone doing with the boxes? They almost seem like more trouble than they are worth keeping.

When I don't have my ships on display, I put them back in their boxes and stack 'em safely out of the way where they can't be knocked over and damaged. It'll also be easier for me to carry them should I ever move into another house or whatever.

I tossed all the boxes in the trash. When I moved, I just wrapped all the ships in bubble wrap.

I've kept all the boxes for the 100+ ships I have (normal, specials and XLs) and keep them in storage.

Over the however many years the series has been going, we've moved about six times and between two countries and keeping them has come in handy.

Me too. The OCD collector in me will never toss the boxes. One day these things will all go to my daughter. She may not care about them, and that’s okay, but they could be a serious financial benefit to her, especially if it’s a complete collection (about 96% there if Eaglemoss would fill in my 5 final freakin’ holes from the main subscription line). Takes a lot of space, yeah, but they’re all in the attic when I fill a box, so, out of sight, out of mind.

Yeah, except for the Ferengi pod, that's one of the weakest shuttle sets so far.

I like everything, the only thing I am not really interested in his the Klingon shuttle from Gambit. Everything else is a hard yes.

Never got the Shuttle collections. Always seemed too expensive

Oh, they definitely are way too stupid expensive. That's why being an OCD collector really sucks balls sometimes...

I think I'm drawing a line in the sand over the XL Gold-plated Enterprises, though. Those things are just too damned expensive.

Yeah, sweaty, low-hanging balls. In a bristly-haired sack.

Anyway, the addition of Jupiter Station comes as a great surprise. In the past, Ben had to repeatedly pronounced it too complex to turn into a model fit for shipping.
From an in-universe view, I would’ve assumed that the station seen in VOY is a modern replacement of the unseen, more primitive ENT-era station. Rather than being one centuries-old space station.

With the Vulcan shuttle from Eaglemoss, and the support craft inside the D’Kyr’s ring available from GamePrint, the triple-hooped 32nd century Vulcan cruiser is the last canon Vulcan ship not yet available in some fashion.

Why do these alien shuttlecraft come with LCARS / Starfleet-style master system displays?

Oh they absolutely are. But I actually really like them and by now, space availability is a bigger issue than cost. I really wish they keep almost everything at the standard size.

I'm surprised at this reaction, cause I felt the complete opposite. Apart from the Defiant shuttle, I didn't see anything in the last two sets that made me want to get them, but an all-alien shuttle set seems like a need change. I've been hoping for the Ferengi shuttle for a while. I never expected to get in "fun size", so to speak, but I'll happily take it. I've become a bit of a completionist when it comes to anything from "Enterprise", so I'll take the Vulcan and Xindi shuttles as well. (Still waiting on Degra's ship, though!) As for the Toron class, it is, of course, the same stock model that they recycled for any non-Starfleet shuttle on TNG. I kind of wish they'd made it i the form of the Nenebeck from "Final Mission" instead, as I think that one looks a bit better (less stubby), but I'll take it.
