(okay, BBS writers, how about a Round-Robin story that is independent of our current storylines. A way for our writing styles to come together and create a story that could go..well...any where!!!

The first thing we must do is set up a batting order, in essence, the order in which it will be your turn to add to the story. Each part of the story can only be the length of one microsoft page. How many words is that? Lets just say no longer than 600 words per part.

If you want to participate I will go ahead and let this 'thread topic' continue for, oh, a week. Once it is clear that all the writers are on board I will then go back and create the Batting Order.

The only rules for this first Round Robin story? It must take place somewhere in TOS time. So the story must center on Kirk and company. You can bring in a new character, but the story must focus on Kirk and company.

So...who is up for this challenge? Let me know...

It sounds interesting I have to admit. But I don't think this is the first time something like this has been tried on this forum. Most attempts have been unsuccessful because, truth be told, most writers here lead busy lives, made even busier by working on their own numerous projects. That's a lot creative energy that is drained and there might not be much left for participating in yet another venture.

I for one think this could be fun. Alas I don't really write for canon characters (much), so this might be a challenge to large for me to tackle.

I think it might be fun too. Like you, most of my stories here center on my own created characters, Mathew Weer-Frank Grayson for example. So it will be fun..

And I kept it to one page so as to really see the flow and feel of the writers upclose..

Those of you on board already, Cejay-myself-mistrel and Chris, I will notify you via private message when it is your turn...but as it stands..

if new comers join I will schedule them into the rotation after part four...by the way, try to take no more than a day on your turn..we're only talking about 600-700 words per part...
