I gave this an average, and that was solely for the inclusion of the Watchtower-class station and the minor differences in the Lexington, both the interior and exterior.

The battle itself was incredibly disappointing. The Excalibur should have been shown with major damage instead of simply falling away. They could have even taken a cue from the original effects and used stock footage of the remastered Constellation as the 'dead' Excalibur.

Also, the syndication cuts were simply horrid, but I think we all predicted that.

The syndication cuts never bother me much anymore, because in this era of one-hour shows having seventeen minutes of frickin' stupid commercials its pointless to get too worked up about it anymore. But the battle f/x should have shown some close ups of hull damage and explosions. The CGI wargames were just really, really weak.
