Star Trek : Restoration

Terrific ending to the second volume.

As frustrating as it may be to end it with so many questions, it gives us plenty to look forward to on your return.

You've got yourself a setup to a near epic storyline here. Let's hope your in this for the long haul.

Hi CeJay!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. This story has kind of got away from me, so it was really a pleasure to finally send the ship on her way - even if it was to be followed by an extended hiatus.

Yep, definitely in it for the long haul. I'm enjoying writing this story and getting the feedback from all you guys way too much. I miss it actually this month, feels like writing in a bit of a void! Can't wait to get back. I have some other ST projects as well, but I will continue to write and update the universe of Restoration.

Thanks again for your comment,

Joel

O', Captain, My Captain!
Fantastic. I even learned a new word: "febrile."

I am sorry it took me this long to read these last two chapters and comment, and I hope you did not construe my tardiness as displeasure. I must be the biggest, squishiest Trek geek-nerd on the planet, because all you had to do to make mine eyes misty was to draw a connection between the Titan, and Voyager (I dont care what anyone says, I adored Janeway, she was, indeed a good shepherd, and she brought her flock home), and the Enterprise. I have always loved the thickly palpable strains of tradition in Star Trek--you plucked those chords very well, indeed, Joel.

You can bet that I will be on here at Midnight on December 2, hoping that you will have posted the first chapter following the end of your hiatus. I do hope your current writing project is proceeding well.

Again, thanks so much for all the thought provoking entertainment. I am so bloody impressed by people like you and Kes7.

We can all, especially yours truly, use more Redemption and Restoration.

Here's to R&R.

Much obliged,
'Los

Nicely wrapped up. Looking forward to the new adventures. Good luck finishing your current project! :bolian:

Diogenes

Thanks so much for your comment, as usual hugely encouraging and well-thought out. Also glad I was able to increase your vocabulary! :)

No problems for the delay, just glad to see you back on the threads. We miss you!! I'm glad that I touched you with Sarine's look back on the great men and ships that have gone before him and I totally agree ie. Janeway. Although the program had its flaws, some of which I have tried to address in Restoration in my own way, I never thought Captain Katherine Janeway was one of them.

Glad to know that you'll be here in December to see where I take this ship and her crew. Although I'm still deep in my nano novel (which is going really well, thanks for asking) I've already begun plotting for Part III and hope you'll all enjoy the twists and turns that are coming Redemption's way.

Glad you enjoyed your R&R! :)

Yours,

Joel

Thank you so much for your comment, glad you have been able to catch up. I'm pleased my wrap up of Volume II was satisfying, I hope that Volume III will be just as good, if not better. And thanks for the good luck wishes! :)

A fantastic second volume - really enjoyed the new introductions and dynamics to the crew. This command crew is turning out to be interesting - a real menagerie, a Vulcanoid CO, Cardassian XO, Borg Engineer, Trill at Ops, Klingon CMO, Klingon Mission Specialist, Vulcan Navigator Xindi Security Chief, a crystalline Tactical Officer and only one Humain on the command staff - can't wait to see what the next volume brings our intrepid heroes.

On a side note, have you 'cast' any of the characters to help envisage what they look like yet?

Hi tenmei,

Thanks for your response!

Really glad that you enjoyed the second volume. I tried to shake things up in this volume, especially with the introduction of the Presidential team on Earth.

I hope you'll enjoy the third volume as well.

No, I haven't cast it. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks,

Joel
