Star Trek Rebel Universe remake?

hi folks,

Is anyone aware of a remake of the original game for atari st "star trek: the rebel universe" ?

I saw a game very similar, fan made I think, only the graphics resolution was far better than the original, but can't locate the website.

Any leads appreciated.

I loved that old game. It was the second PC game I ever owned, bought it the same day as the original Sid Miere's Pirates which was the first. My computer didn't even have a hard drive in those days.

But I had no idea a remake was planned.

It would work terrifically on the iPhone. The graphics would be very easy to update. All you need to do is use screengrabs and a tiny bit of 3D rendering for the space battles.
