Big improvements over the last episode I watched.
A few critiques

From a production standpoint I would recommend on the bridge having a captain chair standing camera and a captain chair sitting camera, the framing was a little bit weird when ever the lieutenant got in and out of the chair. Also the shot where the captain and engineer were shown looked to be an obvious still image that was photoshopped. It may have been done better on green screen. Lastly there was an overuse of torpedo sfx, less is more in this case. Audio was improved significantly from the last episode I watched.

from a writing standpoint keep in mind maneuvers in regards to warp speed:
"what's the first thing they teach you about maneuvering at warp?"
"Faster than light, no left or right. When possible, maintain a linear trajectory. Course corrections could fracture the hull."

Have been closely following the images you have been posting on facebook of the new sets. I'm excited to see the new episodes on those sets. Will you guys be rebuilding the corridor piece that you had previously? Did the corridor piece make it into any episodes?

Thanks to all!

Thanks for the input!

That camera shot on the captain's was the death of me. I couldn't get the panel animations to line up right; it didn't track at all. So expect a more fixed view next time for sure.

Re: The Voyager straight-line, I just disregard it. Doesn't make sense with what we saw in TOS which is closer to our timeframe. We also don't use the Modern Trek era Warp 10 is Infinite or whatever they were trying to convey.

The corridor sets were transported, but sadly, we've no room to use them. We shot footage for several episodes with the corridors, but for the most part, the scenes just really drag the drama. Remember, we're usually doing a 6-7 min production, and a 30 sec corridor shot just kinda negatively impacts the action. That being said, we might see the scenes we shot for "The Last Child" since that episode is full length.

Anyway, there's no real room for the corridor sets here, so I intend to have JunkKing haul them off once we finish construction on the new bridge and VIP lounge. We've already repurposed the service boards into walls, and the 2x4's into set construction here. But the angular supports are doomed, as are the paneled wall pieces.

Bridge structural construction is slated to be completed this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for the input!
