Dumb question: are you guys recording "wild" sound on one track and dialogue on another? Having a background loop of several minutes worth of "wild" sound (free of wind noise) might make it less obvious when you have to drop in a re-dubbed line. I ask forgiveness in advance for playing "Captain Obvious".

Currently, we're recording dialogue on two tracks when in the studio. We record one dialogue and one ambient noise track when on location. But for this production, before we had the TASCAM DR 40, we had two cameras, one with built-in stereo mikes we were using for what you called wild sound. The other camera was recording dialogue with a hypercardioid mike. The problem is that the sustained winds (visible with the plants moving) made both recordings useless. We also had an ADR session inside, and that's mostly what we used for the dialogue. Finally, we had folks come by the studio from January through May and re-record some lines that didn't work from the ADR session. It literally is a Frankenstein of a sound recording for this episode. :D

Come down here and help run the TASCAM! We're still trying to figure it out. LOL I think we will never learn half of what we need to learn no matter how long we do this!

Randy, I noticed that the Video on YT is running smoother than it did at first... So the gliches seem to be lessened... :)

They're still there. Our friend and Vendorian, "Carter Winston," disappears one frame early in two different shots.

Yeah, I saw them but atleast on my end Youtube is not doing that Freezie wheezy thing it was doing earlier this week.... It could have been weather realted messing up the signal.. :bolian:
