I still say they should reorganize the boards based on different eras and even have a Streaming Trek section. Maybe even put this forum in the Streaming trek section because that's where most of the Trek (Other than the Nick show) is going anyway.

I heard a tiny bit of the TNG theme at the end, I hope they have hints in the actual sound track.

    I'm guessing that's a Romulan narrating.

that was a good teaser. a sort of understated dignity about it. picard isn't laughing it up and driving a dune buggy like last we saw him.
can't it just be "currently airing" or something?

But one can Stream everything now-a-days, all of it.
Might just as well mark the top of the Forums ... STREAMING NOW.

If it is taking place in 2399 than that would be 2384

So... 15 years ago is... what? Is it the Hobus nova? If so, that would set it in the year 2502. I suppose it could have been something else before that, but after Nemesis. Thoughts?

Loved it but does make you wonder what would cause Picard to leave starfleet and go back to his vineyard. Loved the shots of him at the vineyard. It had to be something really catasrophic.

The narrator says something happened during the mission 15 years ago, that might have been the nova 2 years later.

I suppose it could be -- "every starship in your armada was destroyed, including the Enterprise and Titan." That would solve the issue of TNG guest appearances...

    2402.

It's destruction of Romulus. It has to be. Why create another disaster so close to that one?

The mission of the rescue armada that Picard led failed in some way. Something "unimaginable" happened. He may have been a hero to everyone else, but he somehow failed in his own mind and quit because of that. And maybe he now sets out to somehow fix what went wrong?

I'm thinking 2384 is some sort of peace mission to help after the events of Nemesis basically destroyed the government, maybe a Civil War, and then 2 years into the mission was the destruction of Romulus.

It's interesting to note Spock's line from ST'09 is "I was en route, when the unthinkable happened. The supernova destroyed Romulus."

Unthinkable = unimaginable. Pretty sure it must be Hobus / Romulus, and whomever is speaking is a Romulan. I'm going to go with what I've been saying all this time: Picard was living on Romulus in his efforts at reunification with the Vulcans, and while off-planet, Romulus was destroyed along with his family.

Did you notice that the theme seemed to be on his flute as well :) :)

Maybe we'll see a flashback to 2387 and see the Hobus Incident from this side of the multiverse.

Couldn't have been living there, the video seems to indicate that he was still in StarFleet and was an essential part of the rescue armada that attempted to save as many Romulans as possible, before the planet blew up.
And then Spock was apparently killed .... "...then the unimaginable..."

    Good cartch. I like that.

Wonder if people think that Spock died in that incident?
