Hopefully it does well over there. I've heard from some friends of mine that Japan is one of the more receptive Trek markets out there. I think they even premiered TOS-R on Japanese TV

Oh 100m is a definite, its already at 90 and would do 100 even without Mexico and Japan... I really would love it if Japan comes out to see this one - Nemesis only did 500k.... bad comparison obviously but that is the only movie I have Japan numbers for.

I still think ST will do better in Japan than Mexico.

I just don't see many Mexicans that interested in ST, whereas the average IQ would probably be higher in Japan because they have a higher level of technology.


I am just picturing an empty town hall in a little Mexican village compared to packed cinemas in Tokyo!
