But seriously. MACOs were Starfleet, pre-Federation. There's no reason to expect them to still be around once Starfleet was no longer an Earth-operated organization.

The closest we've come to seeing MACOs in the movies was the security detachment that went down to Nimbus III with Kirk & co. in The Final Frontier. They wore royal blue turtlenecks, whereas the security officers we saw in The Search for Spock wore Windsor green, so it's been speculated that the royal blue guys were Starfleet Marines.
