Star Trek Into Iceland

That's awesome!

Although, frankly, I could've done without the shot of the dude in his Speedos. :vulcan:

You can tell they had a lot of fun doing this. I wonder how the bird-mascot got involved?

It doesn't seem to work very well on my iPad so I will have to watch it on my laptop later. I want to see it as I am an Icelandaphile.

OH MY Miss CHicken make sure you do that, it is awesome. One of the links at the top takes you to a set of all the photos smaller and more loadable, but the full effect of scrolling is not to be missed. I love the opening shot of the dude with the cigarette hanging out of his mouth, cracked me up.

Also if you love Iceland did you see Oblivion? That movie is worth watching for the stunning Icelandic scenery which backdrops the whole thing.

It's begging for a comprehensive, overarching written narrative...or maybe I'm just missing something quite obvious. I'd like a little more detail on what went done in that diner. Full marks for those bright neon water guns. :)

I won't download any better on my laptop :(, not sure what my problem is.

Edited - don't worry, after many minutes it has downloaded. Wonderful scenery. I am glad they included swimming in the Blue Lagoon.

I have seen Oblivion as I am the sort of person who will watch a movie just because it is shot in Iceland. This the only reason I saw Noah.

Good I am glad you saw Oblivion. I wish I had seen it twice, amazing scenery on the big screen. Can't remember the plot, the scenery was the whole point of the movie :D

I had a stopover in Iceland once, we had to disembark on the tarmac and walk a ways to the terminal which was basically a hut. I couldn't help myself, I had to dash off the asphalt and put my foot on the black Icelandic soil because it was so cool.

My favorite singer lives in Iceland and often posts wonderful Iceland pics to his FB.

There! That is the sum total of my Iceland stories.

I read and own many books that are either set in Iceland, written by an Icelandic author or both. My favourite Icelandic authors are Arnaldur Indridason, Yrsa Sigurdsdottir, Viktor Arnar Ingolfsson and Halldor Laxness.
