Star Trek in the Distant Future

Captain Zog

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
What do posters think the Trek universe would be like if they made a series set in, say, the 83rd century - thousands of years after TNG.

By the 83rd century, the Federation has evolved into a Galactic Empire spanning the Milky Way. Earth is no longer the center of the Galactic Empire, and the seat of government has been moved to a planet named Trantor. The Empire, however, is on the verge of collapsing and could face a dark age lasting 30,000 years; fortunately, a young mathematician named Hari Seldon sets a plan in motion to shorten the period of barbarism...

It'll be exactly the same as 24th century ST, except the terminology for the gizmos will be different.

GNDN describes ST very well.

Yes it will be a man with a raygun and a radio looking at a view screen while that character who nobody likes shouts "protonictransphasic shields at 50%".

It will be a bunch of humans, who now look like Organians, getting annoyed when evolved dogs and cats almost start an interstellar war on their doorstep. So, they make everyone's doggie and kitty guns get really hot and lock them in separate rooms. And then 25 years later, John Colicos comes back and has bumps all over his forehead.

The only thing left to do will be bad First Contacts and Holodeck Malfunctions...

It will be so far in the future that what passes as Humanity are taught that people of our time, between those during George Washington's time and that of TNG era were so primitive and unintelligent like cavemen. I mean they would have Geico commericals for transgalatic spacecraft with the slogan "It's so easy a 21st century rocket scientist could do it".

Exactamundo!

Don't forget the "transdimensional transporter" which occasionally fails with plot-generating results.
