Star Trek Hallmark 2008 Ornaments

My Mother has gotten me the ship every year since it started, and now since my divorce I'm living in her basement!! Don't tell Shatner he'll pick on me!!!:lol:

Man I am a walking cliché though!!!:lol:
 
Well it seems like Hallmark listened to the fans' request for the Reliant, the Kirk/Tribble ornament is one I listed here some time ago as one to produce (maybe TPTB at the company actually read these posts).

For other genre stuff, they are putting out a cool Iron Man ornament from the movie, one of Indiana Jones, and for the Star Wars line, the Imperial Shuttle, Emperor Palpatine and Luke and Vader from ROTJ in their lightsabre duel.
 
I'm glad they're doing the Reliant this year last years ornament reeked of "were running out of ships" even though there is got to be at least a hundred different alien ships to do yet who cares if they are obscure at least they'd look cool.
 
Sweet. Will definitely be picking up the Reliant (and the communicator, and maybe the tribbles. :p)
 
Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely be getting the Reliant. The only ones I don't have are the 1st TOS Enterprise (cuz I was in grad school and po' and couldn't afford it), and that stupid Scorpion thing from Nemesis (cuz I hated the movie.) :borg:

But, I'm lovin' the Reliant and the communicator.

I must confess, though, that I'm almost as excited about the Leg Lamp ornament on the facing page. :p
 
Yes, I've been listening. I'm the sculptor who has made all of the Star Trek ship ornaments (except 1992). I'm glad to hear that most of you like the Reliant. It's been a great joy for me to make these little contributions to the Trek universe. I retired from Hallmark in 2006, but continue to sculpt ornaments and toys from my home studio. Here's hoping that Hallmark and CBS/Paramount will give me a shot at a ship from the new movie.
 
I have a feeling there are some people who would see that Indy Jones with a whip and think they're star wars ornaments.

Cool. That must be an interesting line of work. I've got all the ship ornaments except for the 1992 Enterprise, the Romulan Warbird and the Scorpion. I can't wait to get my hands on the Reliant.
 
It is a great line of work, especially since I'm also a fan. The only problem occurs when I get a preview of a new ship and have to sew my lips shut.
