Star Trek Filming locations in Los Angeles?

Brannigan

I am going to Los Angeles in late March and am going to try and find some of the places where Star Trek (all series) filmed. Here are the locations I have:
Bronson Caves in Griffith Park (various)
Griffith Observatory (VOY)
Vasquez Rocks (Various)
Tillman Water Reclamation (Starfleet academy building and grounds)
Grumman Space Park (Former TRW Space Park, Operation Annihilate)
I know that Paramount studios has various street scenes that have been seen in Star Trek, but are there any other location places in LA that Star Trek has filmed?

Don't forget the engineering sections of the JJ-prise, which were filmed at the Van Nuys Anheuser-Busch brewery.

Brandeis Bardin Institute in Simi Valley, House of the Book, which was used in TNG's Lore and Borg episode, as well as Star Trek VI.

AFAIK, the parking lot of Dodger Stadium was used for at least one scene in ST XI. (Fracked if I know which one, though.)

Forgot about that movie. The Oviatt Library at CSUN was used for Starfleet Academy in Abram's Star Trek.

I can genuinely say that I graduated from Starfleet Academy. ;)

Thanks toughlittleship for that link. Looks like I won't be able to visit nearly all of the locations, but I am going to at least visit the ones I mentioned and maybe (time permitting) take the Paramount Studios tour.

Many TOS eps, including “Miri,” “Return of the Archons” and “City on the Edge of Forever,” were filmed on the old “Forty Acres” lot in Culver City. Unfortunately it no longer exists, so I suppose there’s no point in mentioning it.

Exteriors for “The Paradise Syndrome” were shot at Franklin Canyon Reservoir, which was also used for the opening credit sequence of The Andy Griffith Show.

That's a pretty good list. One omission I noted, just quickly skimming over, was the Chronowerx Building from Voyager's "Future's End," which is a CGI-modified version of the Los Angeles MTA Building, found just behind Union Station, north of Downtown.

It was kind of hard to tell with all the lens flare, but the open parking lot was actual the used as the ship's bridge.

Didn't that burn down just a couple of years ago. I remember something like that on the news.

 Wish they'd had Vin Scully as the voice of the Enterprise computer! :techman:

I did some checking, apparently Dodger Stadium's lot was used for the Delta Vega outdoor scenes, and the scene where Kirk and Sulu land on the Narada's drill.

You’re probably thinking of the big fire on the Universal lot in June 2008. The “Forty Acres” lot was bulldozed and turned into an industrial park in 1976.

Was it all CGI? I figured they at least built a metal platform...

There was a segment of the drilling platform set used at that location shoot - see pix here, and also video:

The rest of the platform was filled in with CGI in post, as was most of Delta Vega for the ice planet exterior scenes.
