Edit - I grew up with Buck Rogers on air so I'm probably completely biased but man, best Sci-Fi theme song ever lol.

Although the year they left from was 2258.

Yes, but I was estimating that Discovery left space dock on her maiden voyage sometime in 2255, so went with that date to mirror the "launch" dialogue in the original Buck Rogers intro.
I believe I was off on the landing year, as well, but I made this before Season 3 premiered.
