Star Trek DAC.. got it for $5 bucks but it crashes. HELP

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Please help.
I use Windows XP. The game keeps crashing, and it says there is an error and needs to close. This happens when I try to launch the program. I haven't been able to play. :scream::confused::wah::wah:

Give me a break.... those are the specifications of a four year old computer, and I don't think requiring 1-2GB of ram and a 256 MB video card is excessive. They're not much higher than World of Warcraft's minimum specs, which are themselves changing this year with Cataclysm. You want it should be playable on a Pentium 2 with a Voodoo 3D card?

Bet you it could.
I just think those specs are inflated.

What are your system specs.
Do you have the latest drivers.
What does the error say specifically.
If there are any patches for the game make sure its patched.
What video card do you have.

I don't think it's a reasonable expectation for a modern game made in 2010 to run on the computer I used in high school in the 90s, sorry.

I mean, how shitty do you want this thing to run and look?

It wouldn't look bad. You can run Armada II on a P2 and it looks pretty good. :D
