Kirk wore the green wraparound off-ship in:

"Court Martial," "The Trouble With Tribbles," "Mirror, Mirror," "The Apple," "Wolf In The Fold" and "I, Mudd."

You are absolutely correct. In many naval traditions, a ship's captain gets a second uniform, referred to as a "command variant," to wear at his discretion in order to "set him apart" from the other officers. That's what the so-called "green wraparound" is. (In the TNG era, it is the suede jacket with quilted shoulders and gray undershirt which Picard occasionally wore.) No officers but captains ever would, or ever could, wear a command variant uniform.

Two more: "The Doomsday Machine" and "Bread and Circuses."

A fan of the second season version of the command variant over the first, here.

    Yes on "Bread and Circuses!"

I didn't forget "Doomsday Machine;" I intentionally didn't include it in the off-ship list. (Kirk is not off ship in that episode.)

    What was the combination? ;)

Well, he's off the Enterprise at least, on an away mission.

You mean he was on a landing party.

He left his own ship wearing the command variant, which is why I thought to mention it, is all.

Technically correct. I thought of that after I posted, but then I was on to something else. (-:

Part of the problem with the green wraparound in most fan films is that it's not tailored properly. The one Vic wears in STC looks fine, but Jimm's in Exeter is pretty ill-fitting, loose around the neck and baggy-looking. I desperately want to CG his regular gold uniform shirt onto him. :p

Well, let's be fair. You could level that same complaint at a lot of the people and their wardrobe in many of the fan films.

I was aware, but I'm not that pedantic. ;)

Was the bomber jacket variant seen in TSFS (Scotty's) and TFF (Kirk's) something exclusively for the captain?

Probably not. Admiral Morrow wears one in Star Trek III also.

Any rumblings on when we might see Ep. 5 released?

    Not that I've heard.

What I'd like to hear soon is that they have a script for Episode 6.

I've recently gotten another reason to look forward to Ep. 5. We recently purchased a Samsung 58in. SMART HD LED television that has the Vimeo app included in Samsung's Smart Hub. Now I can watch the STC episodes directly on our big flatscreen without having to download them first.

    Awesome!

I recently got a 50in. to hang in the bedroom and had the same thought.

We do, and the shoot is scheduled, but I won't say for when, because it's preferred that info not be public to prevent drop-by lookie-loos.
