Hi all,

I've been involved in designing and editing a STAR TREK COMICS SPECIAL magazine, looking at all the Trek incarnations from the 60's to the present day, interviewing creators past, present and future, and even Walter Koenig himself.

As such I've been allowed to make available a 38 page pdf preview of the finished magazine, which you can download from yousendit, before it hits your local comic shop. The link is valid for 7 days, or 100 downloads, and the file is 88mb. I'd recommend viewing it in 'two-up' in adobe, as they are intended to be viewed as spreads.

The mag interviews creators past, present and future, including Dan Abnett, David Messina, Gordon Purcell, Diane Duane, and many more, even Walter Koenig. I really enjoyed the challenge of redesigning each section around the aesthetic of each show, whether Starfleet, Cardassian or Borg, though I regret not doing a Klingon one. That'd be fun.

Thanks for the kind words. COMICS INTERNATIONAL is usually available to order through Diamonds Previews, though this issue hasn't been solicited yet. Will post the order code when its given, or keep an eye on the website for when its updated.

Thanks for the heads-up, REDBAZ; nice collection. I'd refrain from posting the order code, though; that crosses over the line to solicitation on this site, which is against the board rules. As it currently stands, we're okay, and it's good to let people know about the collection's existence; I'm sure a lot of members are interested in the content.

Thanks Fleetcaptain. Yep I'm aiming to get around 28 pages done in total and end on a cliffhanger. Its mostly an exercise to get back into publishable level artwork and to scratch a story itch I've had for ages. I've quite a few I think would be pretty cool in the comic book format, on a scale you'd never be able to see on TV or films.

I'll be posting the next batch here when they're done.

It should be available in your local comic shop, but being a magazine, they may have been returned to the distributor by now. I do still have some copies myself, I can send you details via PM if you'd like a copy.
