Star Trek Cast Photo

TeamTrek

Cadet
Newbie
We had our first cast photo session Monday, and we're very happy with the results; Everyone looks great! The Enterprise bridge set should be complete sometime next week at which time we'll be able to do an offical session. Our hope is to get at least one good photo out before the end of the year.

Wait... next week you say? But don't they start filming next week? Something here ain't right. :cardie:

They don't have to *start* filming on the bridge set. There are, I hope, other sets and locations to shoot.

Might I suggest proving your credentials with the board's administor/owner Christian? That way he can give you a fancy wee title and a hell of a lot more legitimacy.

Good luck with that.

Don't worry, it'll be ready by Tuesday.
What about the tractor beam?
That's it! Anymore jokes like these, and the offender is going to be in a great deal of pain until the medical staff arrives.

Yeah! And they won't be here until Tuesday!

One good photo before the end of the year? I should hope so... seeing as you're shooting with 35mm motion picture film that runs at 24 frames per second!

You should have hundreds of thousands of "good" photos before the end of the year

Well, not to fear. Until we can get some really good photos from the actual shooting, here's a quick photo op I grabbed when the cast was meeting on set for the first time.

I'll also have you note that in Chris Pine's lap is the very thick script for Trek XI. I hear it's more verbose. From the looks of that script, it is. And you know as well as I do that more talking always means excellent movie. I expect we'll make billions.

Now don't go showing this pic around, it's top secret. If Abrams found out he'd put me back on the LOST set as Terry O'Quinn's fluffer.

^ They'er rehersing on the set ^
as filming hasn't started yet....
BUT
you didn't hear that from me....

Hmmm.. the guy does just post 'n' leave without trying to defend himself. Could he be for real? My instincts say no, but there's a nagging bit of my mind that's trying to believe...

If he's a hoaxer, he's a well-disciplined one...

It's amazeing how the new cast looks just like the old cast isn't it ?

It's all in the lighting and makeup and costumes and sets.

By lavishly recreating Robert H. Justman's lighting the greenish hue shirt Chris Pine is wareing looks GOLD just like it did in the 1960's, and he shaved his head bald and put on a shat-master 3000 wig ( so the rumors of part of shatner being in this film is true, just not his eyes )

Simon Pegg has asked ILM if they can digitaly remove his 4th finger so he can pull off a James Doohan and try to hide it every other scene in the film, only to be spotted by rabid Trek fans who pay attention to that sorta stuff.

Zack looks great with the ears doesn't he ? He's got that whole Vulcan stare down to a science, Leonard is a great teacher, what can we say ?

As for the others, J. J. did great hiring them they look like they all belong on the bridge as the new crew or is that old crew, whatever....

As for the set itself, HA ! We told you so ! 100% recreation of the old set, right down to the jelly bean buttons in the right places even, they must of poured over all the photos they could find of it.

That thick script. Well, i'll tell a little secrect. It's not going to be 2 hours. it's going to be LONGER ! Much longer, try about 3 hours and maybe some change.

Think 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' long deal, Paramount is being sneaky about all these details, they don't want folks to know that this will be a HUGE film in scope and size and length and budget, after all $150 mill is quite a bit of coin for a Star Trek film, don't you think ?

Advertizeing budget alone will make your heads explode !

Paramount is planning a huge cross promotion with the useual suspects in tow, McD's, Coke, Ect Ect Ect. Expect to see Star Trek Happy Meals with Trek Toys in them of course, Action Figures like they used to make in the day, BIG ones not the cruddy rinky dink ones like that other Sci-Fi film series had, we're talking 12in tall figures folks.

Model Kits.... Ertl / AMT..... That's all I can say ;)
Hint : 3ft TOS Enterprise....

Games, Toys, Collectables, Ect....
( stuff you'll want to play with anyway )
Art Asylum [sp] is on deck for Phasers, Tricroders Communiactors, the whole nine yards....
Parker Brothers is also on deck for the Star Trek boardgame based loosly on the film, and TOS itself as well.....

Did I forget anything ?

I'm sure someone else will fill in the rest.

AND once more, you didn't hear any of this from me.....
