Star Trek: Aurora update/new website

Just a quick note to say that I finally got around to updating the Star Trek: Aurora website with a new look and some new features that I'd gotten requests for, like downloadable desktop wallpapers and a section describing the production workflow, as well as some expanded notes about the inspiration for Aurora and a page of various reviews.

If you haven't been to the website in a while, check it out! If you haven't been there at all, check out the movie that "Scotty" from Phase II (New Voyages) called "freaking awesome." ;-)

Nice update Tim, nice wallpapers, about to read the production notes. Sorry to see you've been struggling with hardware, can't wait to see the next part.

I see we are due a new episode this summer... most excellent, can't wait Tim. Great stuff congratulations.

Tim,

This is astonishingly outstanding work. I'm very impressed, nicely done!

I love the new website. Can't wait for the new sp to appear. If anyone hasn't checked the Star Trek Aurora out they are missing out on some incredible animation work.

*wants to see the next bit now dammit LOL*

Seriously though, love it so far - hope the rest comes out that well! :D

Thanks, all! I'm working on Part 3 now, and if I can just get my new hardware put together, I should be able to get these next two parts out faster.

Thanks again--Tim

Absolutely great! Love the updates to your site and waiting (impatiently!) for the next chapter! :)

BTW - What class of ship is the Aurora?

Tim, I guess that is your name, but I was totally floored with how good this really was. I didn't know there were programs out there that allowed this kind home 'home grown' kind of CGI episodes. Keep up the good work..the dialog from the first episode, all that I have seen so far, was spot on!!!

Great job..will watch the others...i am truly amazed!!!

Somehow I doubt that age is accurate. He'd only have been two or three when the original series finished, and he claims to be a fan from when it originally aired. ;)

So Tim, anything else happening with Aurora at the moment? :D

Rob Scorpio,

How the heck do you get to be retired at 42???

Starhawk

You join the navy at 18, do your twenty-four years, and get out (retire) and I did well with Qualcom stock in the 90s...pretty easy if you also have a wife who loves to work...crack that whip!

You blew my cover..I am really 52, and fast approaching 53. Thanks alot!!! Now all the hot chics on this site will think I'm some old fogie! Party pooper!

I consider my self across between Col. Hank Morton from my Frank Grayson story and Brad Pitt since i look so much like him...well..to me at least!

Rob

Aww, sorry! But why would being that age be off-putting? :p

I think I am in that 80s mode of Shatner..trying to look younger than I am...and trying to convince others I am younger...you get that way in your 50s I have noticed...

I never thought, back when I was a kid, I'd get this far...but here I am. And for the most part, everything is still working!!! knock on wood!!!

I was really impressed with the dialog. And I was unaware that CGI was that good for common folks like us. I could never do it, I wish i could, but believe when I say that I am totally amazed by your work...

And once again, the dialog in episode between the two of them was right on!!! You are not only a computer whiz, but a good writer too...I look forward to seeing what you with this..I intend to watch the rest of it tonight after American Idol..yeah..I admit it...I watch American Idol..GO DAVID COOK!!!
