Star Trek: Assignment - Earth comics

Each issue is set a year a part, the second issue will tie in with Tomorrow is Yesterday, and according to an interview a while ago one of the later issues will feature President Nixon's visit to China...

Apart from the that second issue the series is pretty much cut off from the rest of Trekdom (as far as we know so far at least) being set in the 20th century. Intended to be the Gary Seven TV series that never was.

And the first issue is out next month.

Aaaand, thanks for the link :) - I felt Byrne's style of art was a bit dated in style for the Romulan Alien Spotlight issue but was hopefully it would seem more fitting for the 60s era of this miniseries. From the looks of this it looks like it is, yay! Looking pretty cool I think, I'm looking forward to it, should be quite a different experience to other Trek comics.

(Everything with a mention of the series on my blog can be found, here, including the blurbs for the first three issues)

Groovy Sixties . . .

I hope there's one where he fights Andy Warhol at Studio 54.

("I can't believe none of you noticed he was an alien!")

^ Yeah, except Studio 54 didn't actually open until April 1977.....

^ True, but I do believe it's been established that the bizarre confluence of chemicals and physics taking place there created an anti-time anomaly allowing the locale to exist prior to its actual founding. Cause/effect, chicken/egg, boxers/briefs--it bends the mind, man.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Correct-a-mundo!

How about Andy Warhol at the Factory? Actually, I'm not really interested in that plot line but it would be more accurate...

:bolian:Sweet! I've been following the series since it was first announced, and now that I have seen some of it I'm even more excited. Thank you for sharing.
