Star Trek: Assignment Earth #2

I've read it (friend is a byrne fan), so it's out. Byrne uses his favourite plot device... (well besides Grown man kisses young girl - and I'm not sure I want to get into the thinking behind that...).

Twas waiting for me with the other three issues that turned up this week.

Not so keen on this one, it made Gary seem a bit useless, "I best just check the Enterprise gang haven’t cocked things up, oh they haven’t, jolly good"...

Star Trek: Assignment Earth #2 was supposed to come out this week, but I haven't been able to find it. Has anyone else had luck?

Kings Comics in Sydney get airfreighted comics every Wednesday afternoon. Last week's were delayed till the Saturday and included the final "TNG: Intelligence Gathering" (#5) and latest "TOS Year 4" (#2).

Last night I picked up the latest "New Frontier: Turnaround"(#3) and "Assignment: Earth" (#2), both of which came in on Wednesday.

So it says on Chris Ryall's blog that Star Trek: Assignment Earth #2 was supposed to come out this week, but I haven't been able to find it. Has anyone else had luck?

Yeah, all good. I get my IDW Trek comics right on schedule usually, and I've really enjoyed them, for the most part. Assignment: Earth has been fun to read. I admit to being a little put off by the "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" premise at first, but I came to enjoy the issue as it went along, especially since there were no likenesses of the original crew in the story even though Gary Seven and the Generic Byrne Woman looked AOK.

I know it's the cool thing in here to bash IDW's Trek stuff, but for the most part, I've enjoyed just about everything they've produced. The best so far was "Kllingons: Blood Will Tell," and my least favorite was that first TNG mini-series, which I still haven't managed to untangle what was going on and who was doing it. But the Aliens series and the Year Four material are, for the most part, moving ahead at warp speed.

Add that to the upcoming Galaxy Quest sequel mini, and I'm a pretty darn happy camper! Now, if they could only get to the DS9 Relaunch mini-series I've been waiting for.....

As others have said, that's not true. The only IDW miniseries that have gotten lukewarm reviews are The Space Between and the first volume of Year Four. Blood Will Tell has consistently gotten rave reviews, and Alien Spotlight and the newer titles have been well-received too.

I'm lovin' my IDW Assignment: Earth issues!
I picked up four crisp new Star Trek comics in one day [due to shipping issues]. They were all grrrrreat.
