There used to be this awesome website at http://star-trek.answers.wikia.com/ called "Star Trek Answers" where one could go to ask the more esoteric questions, like, "why gates left the show," "in what episode did georgie say i can't see," and "how is babby formed." Sadly, after an extended absence, I see that this wonderful repository of niche knowledge seems to be no more. Does anyone know what the reason was for its demise?

Oh, it was hilariously pointless. The Yahoo Answers of Star Trek. That's why I liked it.

I've never seen someone here ask questions about whether or not "you have the con" is Starfleet's way of paying homage to Khan, or whether the bathroom on the bridge was noise-proofed, or what kind of porn Data likes. Star Trek Answers was an endless source of deranged stupidity that appeared to be run by a single, strung-out moderator whose Frankensteinian creation seemed to have gotten away from him.
