Star Trek and Las Vegas Hilton--status ?

Did anyone attend the Star Trek 2014 Las Vegas convention and attend the Las Vegas Star Trek Experience Hilton discussion ?

summary ? I missed it..and was wondering if anyone took notes ?

I miss the attraction...and I don't know what (if anything) the Hilton has replaced it with.

I miss the attraction...and I don't know what (if anything) the Hilton has replaced it with.

I didn't attend the panel, but last I've heard, the place is still vacant. The entrance to STTE has been boarded up and become an oversized billboard. The SpaceQuest casino has been shut down and now that whole wing of the hotel now only serves as a pathway between the Monorail and the hotel.

For what it's worth, the hotel is no longer a Hilton hotel, it's simply called the "Las Vegas Hotel" now.

Any hope for STTE to return is essentially gone. It was a great experience and many of us have numerous fond memories of it. If we're to get a new Star Trek Attraction it'll be something brand new, and for better or worse, likely based of NuTrek.
