First, I like that you're writing in the TOS universe, it's an area that is all too frequently passed by these days. You also have an interesting premise and you're hitting the classical Trek notions of ethical choices. However, your parts are a bit on the short side--some more length would be appreciated and would allow you to explore the characters and setting in more detail. Also, it's a convention here that we post additional parts of the same story as replies in the same post as the first part. One, that helps to keep stories that people might not have had the chance to read as yet from scrolling off the first page, and two, it makes it easier to follow the story.

A good start to your TOS story. You seem to have captured Kirk, McCoy and Spock very well. The dialog had the right "flavor" to it.
You've presented an interesting ethical dilemma with your story. I'm interested in reading more!
