Star Trek 2013...No official site yet?

Am confused about this but shouldn’t there be an official site about this film?

Maybe fans should make one.

The official Star Trek movie site is still up and running, but it's almost a ghost town there.

But you'll find far more activity here at Trek BBS than anywhere else, IMO.

I can imagine when it is time for them to do so they will replace the site from the previous movie with an updated interactive site for the upcoming film.

Given the way things go these days, I'd expect the new movie's website will be up and running as soon as the first teaser trailer is released in theaters. I'm pretty sure the "JFK" trailer for XI marked the first major promotion of the movie website.

About ten months in advance of the originally-scheduled December 2008 release date. (That was when the viral "Shipyard NCC-1701" page turned into the official startrekmovie.com site, anyway.)

I think I'd start looking for that in another 5 or 6 weeks. My guess is that any clip or teaser they have ready by that time will get its first showing at San Diego Comic-Con and go viral shortly thereafter.

The only thing more annoying than fan made wannabe teasers on YouTube are those that put "official" in their title (or use some official name, like JJ Abrams).
