Star Crash

starcrash.jpg

I actually saw this movie at a drive-in when I was little. I thought it was lame even then.

I too went to the theater and saw this when I was a lad. I liked the robot. The rest made a great double feature with "Battle Beyond the Stars".

That film must be Christopher Plummer's greatest embarrassment as an actor. And, let's face it, with the possible exception of the disaster epic "Earthquake", is there any film which features one-time child-evangelist/faith-healer Marjoe Gortner that isn't utter crap?

I saw this film on its opening night, absolutely free of charge, and still felt ripped off. At least if I'd had to pay I'd have gotten the satisfaction of demanding my money back.

Caroline Munro helps to ease the pain. And seeing The Hoff is always good for a laugh. My favorite part is the trojan horse projectiles that crash through the windows followed by the emerging troops.

I saw this on youtube, and thought it was so funny... I just had to share it with you.

You can not thank me later, lol...

Thank you? I'd rather shoot you! (KIDDING!!!!) ;)

Seriously though, I saw it as part of a double-feature with MoonRaker back in the day (when double features still existed); walked out about 20 minutes into it - and have been trying to FORGET it ever existed ever since. Just goes to show that Italians CAN'T do science fiction (Just look at their Battle of the Worlds series of films from the early 1960ies.

I'd actually like to know what music is playing, in the trailer, from when the guy says that the galaxy is divided, to the part where he says they have to travel to the haunted stars... that music sounds kinda cool.

Thanks for that link, also! The music does sound cool.

Good ole' camp sci-fi  They don't make them like that anymore. Sure they make crap knockoffs-- that's a given-- but there's just something about those old B-movies that's just wee bit more "fun" that the modern-day crap knockoffs.

I saw it as a double feature with "Capricorn One."

It sucked, but the audience was doing the "Rocky Horror" bit with hilarious comments.

Okay, I've never heard of this movie before, but after watching the trailer and a David Hasselhoff "light saber" scene, how did they not get sued?

Lucas didn't create the laser sword, he just gave it a new name and trademarked it.

My favorite part of this movie is when the little bullet shipped shoot into the larger ship, and soldier come out shooting. No explosive decompression. (It looks funnier than it sounds.)
